cpd-responsive-designSignificant impact expected in April 2015

For the majority of companies we’ve worked with, having their website show up in search results is an important priority. It’s rare that we encounter an organization that doesn’t care about being found with an appropriate Google search. If search result placement is at all important to you, we want you to be aware of a change that Google is making to their search algorithm.

Google recently announced that on April 21, 2015, they will be updating their search algorithm to include mobile compatibility as a factor for page rank. This is in an effort to provide smartphone users with the best possible experience. This algorithm change will impact your website if it is not mobile friendly – and Google warns that this change will “have a significant impact in our search results.”

Google provides a tool to test mobile compatibility – click to test your website now!

Your current website will not pass the test if there is not a responsive design or mobile site. Therefore, this could impact your search results and page traffic in the coming months.

Crown Point Design would love to talk to you about responsive design in more detail and discuss implementing this on your site if it is of interest. Please fill out the form below.
